What is inside this free DELE A2 practice test

This sample exam follows the structure, timing and question types of the Instituto Cervantes DELE A2, across all four pruebas:

• Comprensión de lectura (Reading): 25 questions, 60 minutes, four tareas with a full answer key
• Comprensión auditiva (Listening): 25 questions, 40 minutes, four tareas with a full audio track per tarea (every recording twice, with the exam pauses), an answer key and transcripts
• Expresión e interacción escritas (Writing): 2 tasks, 45 minutes, with guided answer space
• Expresión e interacción orales (Speaking): 3 tasks, 12 minutes, plus 12 minutes to prepare, with the photo options and the examiner script for the role-play

How to use this DELE A2 practice test

1. Sit the four pruebas in order and keep to the official time for each one.
2. For the listening prueba, play the full track of each tarea (scan its QR code or open it from the PDF). It plays every recording twice with the exam pauses.
3. Mark your reading and listening answers against the key. Each correct answer is worth one point, out of 25 per prueba.
4. For speaking tarea 3, ask a friend or teacher to play the examiner with the script at the end of the booklet.

How the DELE A2 is scored

The DELE A2 has no bands to aim for: you pass (APTO) or you do not (NO APTO). Each of the four pruebas is worth 25 points, and they are grouped in pairs. You need at least 30 of 50 points in group 1 (reading and writing) and at least 30 of 50 in group 2 (listening and speaking). A strong reading score cannot make up for weak listening, because the two sit in different groups.
